Romans 5:3-5

3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

It’s been a minute sorry about that my peeps. Thank you so much to those who have been sticking with me. I hope all of the content I put out truly helps you or benefits you in some sort of positive way. This is a little blurb about what I’ve been reading in my quiet time in the morning.

I’m currently reading Romans. This is my first time reading it all the way through and I am blown away to say the least. Yesterday I read Romans 5 and verses 3-5 really stood out to me. I know I have heard this before, but man, when people say you need to read it for yourself- you need to.

Rejoicing during suffering is DIFFICULT to say the least. No one likes to suffer. I mean we complain when it’s hot outside during the summer and then when it’s cold during the winter. I don’t want to take away from anyone’s stories. There are a lot of people who are suffering but let me encourage you by referring to the Bible. Paul tells us that it builds endurance and then character. These are things that we need to be better people. These are things that are important to help make us be the best the people they could be. These are important qualities. So when you are going through a hard time remember what you are building. Remember that this is making you a better person. Take time to think of the lessons you are being taught during this time.

I also know this is true. When I think of things I have suffered through I also think of the endurance to keep pushing through I have built. These things have truly made me a better person. I have seen the growth in my life.

I know it is easier said than done, but take solace in this. It’s one of the promises of God. So we know that our pain and struggles have purpose.
