2020 is finally here!
We are starting a new decade. It’s crazy to think this new year is here already. As I’ve gotten older it seems like the years are getting quicker. I mean that’s what everyone said would happen. I saw the perfect post. It said new year, same me but I’m going to love her better. I loved that. Another post I saw said its going to be the same you if you don’t make changes. These are things I’m going to be thinking about this year. 2020 is going to be even better than 2019 because I am going to make it that way.
If you have been following me for a while you know I love goal planning. So New Year’s Eve I wrote out some goals and gave myself a word for the year. I believe these things are so important because you will know what to pray about and it will guide you to turn these goals to reality. I’m incredibly excited for this year like every year- I have faith it will be better than last year.
My word for the year is FOLLOW. Follow God (read the Bible daily to know where to go) Follow the leaders in my life. (Reach out to those God has put above) One of goals I have is simply to give God my all. My pastor has said something along the lines of how would your life be if you truly believe God is all you need? I paraphrased a lot, but I mean it’s been going through my head. If I put my complete trust in God in every aspect of my life, then why would I be depressed or anxious? (I am speaking for myself. Some people may need a little bit more help and there’s nothing wrong with that) That is convicting, but also encouraging. It’s a goal to work toward this year.
One thing I have been thinking about and want to remind you is that I can start my “new year” whenever. It doesn’t matter when I begin, as long as I begin.
